rescue cribbing, wheel chocks, tarps, a stokes basket, and blankets.
A small desk was also built into the trailer. It is built on a twelve-foot by eight-foot frame with dual axles, and Electro-hydraulic brakes that can be manually set on the scene.
The total cost for this unit is approximately $32,000.00. Of course, $19,500.00 was received from the S.F.C.'s Grant, the rest came from all of you that have been supporting the Fire Company over the years. Thank You. It is a fine addition to Black Forest, Station 36, and improves our support for the community.
Black Forest Fire Company does have three State Certified Vehicle Rescue Technicians.
The new Rescue Trailer will be on display at our 15th Annual Chili Cook-Off on Saturday July 26th. We will look forward to showing it to you.
The Rescue Trailer is almost ready to leave the factory and arrive on the mountain.

The Louise Tomori Memorial Fund Is Used to Serve
The Louise Tomori Memorial Fund has been designated for the purchase of a laptop computer, and software for Station 36's Rescue Trailer. This purchase was approved by the Fire Company members, and with the approval of the Tomori Family.
The software is a program in which the Rescue Technicians may enter the make and year of the vehicle involved at an accident scene. The program will tell where the air bags, and other features, such as power cables for hybrid cars, are located. This provides a level of protection, not only to the patient, but also the rescue and medical workers on the accident scene.
It is felt that this equipment is a justifiable way to honor our deceased member, Louise Tomori. Hopefully, it may serve to aid a person in need, and protect our firefighters.
Get Ready For the 15th Annual Black Forest Chili Cook-Off
This year marks 15 years of Chili Cook-Offs. We don't take that for granted, we are always trying to make it a little better each and every year. We feel those improvements have been reflected in the size of the crowds we receive. Of course, this is all good stuff for the Fire Company.
